Seven plans to make before you graduate

By this time next year, insh AllAH every one of us would have graduated but wait people, seriously what are we going to do when we graduate? I wonder because unemployment is excessively high and Visa Abroad to Europe is getting tougher to get.
Everyday am faced with stories (sad ones) of graduating students with so many tales of unemployment and poor remuneration. You would all agree with me that after almost five years in university (LASU) for that matter, not getting a well-paid job can be quite frustrating. Therefore, i came up with this note overnight trying to proffer solutions.
I pray this help a little.

  1. The first is drawing up a plan “don’t forget he who fails to plan, plans to fail”
We should draw up a plan of what to do, where to work and probably structure our lives to follow this plan. Between these plans should be made carefully, don’t forget you are planning for your FUTURE!!!!

2. Reshuffling our cabinet of friends (don’t forget friends can either make or mar you)

3. Working hard to graduate with the best grade. First class is not a bad idea at all, but if not achievable we can strive towards second class upper. We all know that jobs nowadays are getting tougher and much more competitive so we should try and get good grades to give us an edge over others. May Allah make it easy. Ameen!

4. Working with professionals on the field, volunteering or interning in organisations that will broaden our horizon of knowledge, add colour to our CV’s and of course connect with people in the field.
Also getting a professional certificates like APCON, NIJ or FRCN training school which is far more cheaper than the other professional certificates and also it is well respected in the mass communication circle.

5. Improve your relationship with people, be kind to people, smile to people, make friends with people of different backgrounds, race, color, tribe and religion and perhaps age (who says an older person is old school! They are way smarter than our generation)

6. Getting yourself a profitable venture that will generate money for you so that you will not have to depend on scholarships, begging from family members etc. in my class I respect guys like Adekoya Dare who have made it big through his brand “Bizzy Brain”. Raphael who has made it from editing pictures and designing. Bee Kay from Makeover and so many other inspiring people in our class.
Between also save for the raining days because economic meltdown is way still manifesting in our country.
7. In addition, I guess the final thing but most importantly is putting God first in everything you do and making prayers at all times and giving Gratitude to Almighty Allah at all times.

MAKE PLANS B4 ITS TOO LATE
